Greetings,  On January 19, Monday night, 6:00PM, there is a Law Enforcement Mass at St. Josaphat's Basilica, on S.6th & W.Lincoln.The  Mass will honor of all Law enforcement.  In the past I would hear about this mass after it was over, always thought it would be a good event for the MRPA to announce to it's members. The Band will be piping at this mass.

Chief Flynn Opens Up Workout Facilities to Retirees
When Chief Flynn visited us back in May, one of the things he was going to check into was opening up the workout facilities at the Police Academy. He was true to his word and has approved the use of the fitness center, locker room and gym at the Academy, 6680 North Teutonia Avenue, by retirees in good standing including those who retired on duty disability. Use is FREE and requires the signing of a waiver and acknowledging the terms of use. Although it wasn't stated, it's a good idea to have your MPD picture ID with you.
The hours are generally 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday-Friday and anytime on weekends and holidays. Users are required to enter via the main entrance on Teutonia Avenue and to sign in at the Academy office or with the officer on duty outside of the Academy office.
During the Academy's "normal" hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the fitness center and gym may be limited due to in-service and/or recruit training.
If you're interested in taking advantage of this offer of if you have any questions, contact the Academy office at 414-935-7960, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and if you do, the board would like to have some feedback on this program.
